we've got snow

Matt and I took a little fall color weekend getaway trip up to Jay Cooke State Park near Lake Superior and I don't think either of us expected to be hiking in snow, but it turned out to be one of the prettiest snowy hikes I've been on. I had built this fall color weekend up pretty good, but everything was even better than I expected. The colors on our hike, and all throughout Duluth were amazing - just like what I've always seen before in photos. I loved it. I wanted to take it all with me and save it for when there's no color left but whites, browns and grays...but sadly...and perhaps because I've been relying on it too much...the digital camera battery died just as we started our trip. I was devastated, and tried to listen to Matt's advice about appreciating the moment for what it was, but I was having trouble, and was sooo thrilled when I spotted a disposable camera for sale in the park visitor center.
